BJP President Nitin Nabin Holds First Meeting With Newly Appointed Team At Party HQs

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday began his first meeting with the newly appointed national office-bearers at the BJP headquarters in the capital, with organisational strengthening and programs marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life, among the key issues on the agenda.

The day-long organisational exercise will include three separate meetings covering the introduction of the new office-bearers, preparations for nationwide programmes to mark PM Modi’s milestone in public life and other organisational matters.

Nabin will introduce the newly appointed office-bearers and discuss the responsibilities and expectations associated with their new roles. The meeting formally marks the beginning of their tenure in the BJP’s national organisation.

The new office-bearers are expected to be briefed about their respective roles and responsibilities, including the need to maintain an active presence on social media and engage effectively with the media. Discussions will also focus on maintaining regular contact with party workers and ensuring that issues affecting the public are identified and addressed.

The responsibilities assigned to individual office-bearers are also likely to be reviewed, with emphasis on strengthening the organisation and improving coordination across different levels of the party.

The new team’s role in the BJP’s electoral preparations is also expected to figure in the discussions. The party is looking ahead to Assembly elections in seven states next year, while organisational planning for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections is also likely to be taken up.

Nabin is also scheduled to meet BJP state presidents, organisational general secretaries, in-charges and co-in-charges as part of the organisational exercise.

A key focus of the meetings will be the roadmap for programmes to be held across the country to mark PM Modi completing 25 years in public life.

PM Modi first became Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001. He remained in the post for nearly 13 years before becoming Prime Minister in 2014. He has continued in public office since then and has served as Prime Minister for more than 12 years.

The BJP had announced its new 65-member national team under Nitin Nabin’s leadership on August 17. The team includes 51 new faces, representing a significant reshuffle and expansion of the party’s national organisation.

Saturday’s meetings are expected to provide the new team with direction on its responsibilities and establish the BJP’s organisational priorities ahead of upcoming elections.
